We are looking for a full-time Sales Support Associate to join our Key Account Sales Team. This position is an integral part of our business, and services Beacon’s large and national accounts by managing administrative activities to allow account managers to focus on high level sales activities to grow sales and profits. You’ll directly impact our business results by driving customer satisfaction and improved service level to customers.
We are searching for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about customer service, able to effectively juggle competing demands and priorities, with critical thinking and decision-making skills, and who thrives in a team environment.
The Essential Functions of this role:
- Provide administrative support to the key account sales team
- Manage customer relationships by providing outstanding service and timely and complete communication about order status and delivery
- Provide first call resolution and support to customers regarding quotes, orders and issues related to their account, escalating issues when necessary
- Ensure all quotes and orders are processed accurately and timely, and reviewed for stock position
- Manage weekly and monthly customer truck shipments
- Inform management of customer issues and concerns that may affect order fulfillment or customer retention
- Provide seamless coverage when sales managers are out of the office
- Effectively partner and collaborate with colleagues in purchasing, sales, quality and shipping
- Assist in or manage special projects
- 3 years of experience in account management, sales support or customer service environment
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated successes in delivering knock your socks off customer service
- Acute attention to detail
- Outstanding time management, prioritization and organization skills
