Job Duties:                                                                                                                                                                          

• Build strong relationships with customers

• Participate at various North American trade shows and visit key accounts
• Expedite customer orders
• Promote new services, products and promotions
• Performs other duties and customize E-commerce solutions as needed

Job Requirements:

• College education is preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience in phone sales and or minimum of 2 years Outside sales ( in the Industrial business to business environment)
• Decisive and action-oriented nature
• Well Organized and superior oral and written communication skills
• Self motivated and team participant (hands on mentality)
• Strong work ethic and desire to work in sales
• Strong computer skills is preferred including excel, outlook and word (SAP or other ERP systems experience & knowledge preferred)
• Ability to prioritize to achieve goals and quality customer satisfaction
• Travel +/- 10%

Chicago Hardware & Fixture Company - Celebrating Our 100th Year

1912 was quite a year! Arizona and New Mexico were admitted as our 47th and 48th states. There was an unusual presidential election between three U.S. Presidents in which Woodrow Wilson defeated William Howard Taft and Theodore Roosevelt. Fenway Park, in Boston, and Tiger Stadium, in Detroit, opened for the first time in April - just 5 days after the sinking of the Titanic. American Jim Thorpe became one the most famous athletes in history by winning the first ever Decathlon at the Olympic Games in Sweden.

Amongst these exciting and turbulent times of 1912, Chicago Hardware had their humble beginnings in downtown Chicago, manufacturing USA farm implements, wire goods and fittings for the railroads and agriculture. From our 4th generation owner, Brian Herbstritt:

"My great-grandfather used to sell wire rope clips to farmers for the guy wires that held up their silos. There were 4 cables per silo that ran from the ground up to the top of the silo to steady it. As time went on, he started buying the saddles, u-bolts and nuts separately, assembling them and selling them under his own brand - "Chicago Warehouse and Silo Fixture Co". That was the beginning of what would become Chicago Hardware & Fixture Company. Since the guy wires were basically wire rope, that got us into the wire rope accessory industry. Pretty soon we started making the parts ourselves and the rest, as they say, is history."

In the current economy, there has been an emerging awareness of the value and importance of USA Made products for quality, dependability, and keeping jobs here for American Workers.
